Moon teaches the inner arts of stillness, receptivity, intuition & wisdom.
The new moon in Aries is the 3rd and final new moon of spring. At this time the yang energies will have reached their apex making this a time for CREATIVITY, GROWTH, DETERMINATION and ASSERTION.
The archetype for Aries is the warrior. The warrior – rooted in the compassion and wisdom of their heart – knows how to bridle the creative forces of the universe for good.
Your evening will include a grounding and restorative practice of yin yoga, space for reflection and insight, a related creative writing prompt & intention setting. We’ll end our evening with a blessing meditation.
Moon is linked with the yin princicple – the body, the emotions, hormones, water, subconsious, dreaming & mystery.

YOUR BODY IS WISE.
NATURE HEALS.
The benefits of meditation are innumerable.
The human mind is brilliant, yet it also perpetuates tension, lack of focus and suffering. The cultivation of mindfulness is the antidote for the unfocused and anxious mind. The benefits of meditation range from improved concentration to better sleep to less reactivity and more ease in life. At the deepest level, though, mindfulness meditation allows one to cultivate the innate gifts of the heart – natural intelligence, natural warmth and natural openness.
In this 4 week course, participants will discover a simple yet profound technique for practicing mindfulness meditation. Participants will learn how to consciously release tension from the body and mind, how to gently rest awareness on the breath, and how to incorporate mindfulness into daily life.
“Meditation 101 came at just the right time, in just the right way. Martha’s guidance- to sit, to breathe, to be – were a relief. I knew that no matter how I showed up , where my head was, how I felt, it was ALL okay – and that made building a meditation practice . . . healing. Martha is a wonderful and gentle teacher, and this is a great meditation class. – Caitlin B., Philadelphia, Researcher, 34”
Classes will meet on Wednesdays in May from 12:15-12:45pm.
May 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th
Particpants will receive a recorded copy of each session.
ALL LEVELS WELCOME.

Clearing, by Martha Postlethwaite
Do not try to save
the whole world
or do anything grandiose.
Instead, create
a clearing
in the dense forest
of your life
and wait there
patiently,
until the song
that is your life
falls into your own cupped hands
and you recognize and greet it.
Only then will you know
how to give yourself
to this world
so worth of rescue.

Hi, I’m Martha Rogers
I am an educator, creative, and seasoned apprentice to the natural world. I have been practicing yoga, mediation and seasonal medicine for 20+ years.
I enjoy teaching others how to listen to the wisdom of their body and how to attune with nature’s cycles for harmony, creative flow & well-being.
Please join me for an upcoming workshop.
Martha cultivates a safe and healing environment. I especially appreciate her presence and attentiveness. She’s really tuned into what’s going on with you and remembers details from session to session. You don’t feel like one of many clients; you can tell that Martha cares deeply about your wellbeing
Martha creates an inviting atmosphere inspiring trust and relaxation. Her voice is soothing, touch is gently precise. Combining her vast knowledge
gained from studies in the healing arts, Martha lovingly shares this wisdom in her yoga, meditation sessions and her acupuncture treatments. I always leave her offerings feeling deep relaxation that lingers beyond the time spent in Martha’s care.
'As we attune to nature's cycles a deeper well of energy avails itself to us '
My Story
(Pronouns: She/Her) I am an acupuncturist, educator, & creative. In addition to my private practice, I offer courses that are grounded in ancient, nature based wisdom. The courses I offer will help you reconnect with the wisdom that you carry deep in your bones.
In addition to the nature based, creative courses I teach, I am adjunct faculty at Maryland University of Integrative Health where I teach in the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine program since 2009.
I enjoy solitude, hiking, being near bodies of water, pizzeria, wandering outside at night especially in winter, reflecting and spending time with loved ones. I have 3 fur babies and a sweet heart of a partner who is a functional artist who builds things with her hands.
I look forward to meeting you.
