Hi, I’m Elyse Preston

I am a Healer, Coach and Human Design Guide based in Baltimore, MD. I support conscious, heart-centered change-makers to embrace deep connection, live their boldest vision and amplify their impact. The key modalities that I use are yoga, mindfulness and Human Design.

Be More Connected provided my first experience with restorative yoga, and the experience produced drastic changes, immediately. I came into the session with anxiety and a lot of concerns swirling around my head, weighing me down. I left the session with clarity, feeling lighter and at peace with self. Elyse’s guidance is comforting and the energy of the studio space is welcoming and relaxing. I can’t wait to return!

Elyse is an amazing Human Design consultant. Her wisdom and guidance during my reading unveiled a deeper understanding of myself and the vision for my life. She truly knows her craft. I came away with deeper self-acceptance.

The Restorative yoga session was great for mind and body release. Elyse’s voice is so soothing and made relaxation exceptionally easy. I’ve never used blankets with yoga before, so that was an unexpected, yet nice change.

'Not only do you deserve all the pleasure, but we all stand to greatly benefit when you create more space for pleasure and play in your life. When you are deeply nourished, others inherently benefit from that overflow.'

My Story

As a Healer, Coach and Human Design Guide, my work focuses on centering connection as an essential ingredient for healing and social transformation.

In our current culture, we are experiencing a crisis of disconnection, in which loneliness, burnout, anxiety and depression are on the rise. My mission is to support leaders, change-makers and visionaries to experience deep healing and support, so that you can cultivate communities, services, and experiences that center radical healing and liberation. The only way that we can begin to heal society is if we do the important work of healing ourselves. I started my career as a youth development professional and experienced burnout and chronic stress in the direct service field. As a result, I set out on a journey to learn how to better care for myself and my community.

I believe that when we intentionally invest in creating healthy relationships with ourselves and others, we are shifting the energetic conditions in our communities and the wider world. I use the modalities of yoga, mindfulness and human design to support clients in seeking purpose, creating community and living more connected lives. I am so grateful for the opportunity to share the practices that I love and am inspired by any occasion to deeply connect with others.

I have over 7 years of experience working in social change communities throughout the Greater Baltimore and Washington, DC Region. I received my Jivan Yoga Teacher Certification through Baltimore Yoga Village. My first introduction to yoga was in elementary school and I’ve been expanding my personal practice ever since. I love many styles of yoga, but prefer to teach Restorative Yoga, a slower, more meditative style of practice that targets the deep connective tissues of the body.

I’m a graduate of Johns Hopkins University’s Bunting Neighborhood Leadership Program, a fellowship which provides emerging leaders with the training, mentorship and tools to promote community health and wellbeing. I hold a Bachelor’s Degrees in Communications and Social Advocacy from American University. And I’m currently pursuing an MA in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Leadership from University of Maryland, Baltimore County while I build Be More Connected and continue to deepen my soul-centered wellness practices.
