Yoga for Every Body in Baltimore

You do not have to fit into yoga poses

Baltimore Yoga Village creates safe spaces and houses authentic wellness programs for those who make a difference in the community. We have welcomed growing, established wellness businesses  to expand network, root into a sacred community space, and meet like-minds since 2007. Diverse programming has included Yoga for anxiety and depression, Trauma Informed Yoga, all genres of yoga like Kundalini, Hatha, Vinyasa, Yoga for arthritis, Nia dance, Qigong, Meditation,  Yoga Nidra, Feldenkreis, Pranayama, Prenatal Yoga and more, broadening Baltimore’s access to tried and tested healing modalities. Accessibility and diversity are at the core of our mission.

For those looking for a home to practice and teach, welcome to the Village.

Baltimore Yoga Village offers space to unique Teacher Training Programs throughout the year, each with their particular specialities such as anatomy focused, hatha yoga, trauma informed teaching and more. Teacher Training is a comprehensive and experiential training for those interested in studying the essence of classical yoga practices, theories, and roots with additional mentorship possibilities for those interested in teaching.

There are many ways to enjoy the benefits of being in community at Baltimore Yoga Village from community classes, drop ins and courses.

Ayurveda (आयुवेद’) is one of the oldest natural healing systems in the planet, with roots on the Indian subcontinent. A sister science to yoga, it is both a preventative and healing medical science, which helps each individual move toward a state of total balance. In Ayurveda each person is treated as unique and the relationship between client and practitioner is sacred.

It’s hard to imagine the orchestration that must go into scheduling and delivering the variety of events from meditation to yoga, Kirtan chanting, teacher training, dance medicine, special guest workshops, community potlucks, and more – that Baltimore Yoga Village offers at two locations, but somehow the staff pulls it off seamlessly.
