Baltimore Yoga Village is a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance and offers both a 200 hour yoga teacher certification as well as continuing education trainings for current teachers. The dates for the 200 hour Jivan Yoga Teacher Training at Baltimore Yoga Village are as follows: March 9 - 11, April 13 - 15, May 11 - 13, June 8 - 10, July 13 - 15, August 10 - 12, September 7 - 9, October 12 - 14, November 9 - 11, and December 7 - 9. This flexible one weekend per month schedule enables yoga teacher training applicants to come from further distances such as New York, Virginina, Pennsylvania, and the rest of Maryland. If you are an out of state applicant, we will need to find an approved yoga studio where you can take weekly classes.

Application fee is $300. Cost: The cost of the YTT program is $2,700 (automatic debit monthly installments are accepted) with a $300 deposit upon application. Your application deposit will be refunded if we do not accept your application. We expect that you attend each and every weekend in order to receive our certificate of completion as well as 2 classes per week at Baltimore Yoga Village or an approved location, if you are traveling from out of state. Your 10 class passes will be discounted by 25%.
The 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Baltimore Yoga Village is a comprehensive and experiential training for those interested in studying the essence of classical yoga practices, theories, and roots with additional mentorship for those interested in teaching.Some of the topics that will be integrated into the course are as follows:

Yoga Teacher Training Faculty and Staff: With Ph.Ds teaching anatomy, legendary sitarists teaching mantra, and the founder of Baltimore Yoga Village teaching asana, this training will have the quality of staff we are known for at BYV. Primary faculty include: Anjali Sunita (Director and primary teacher), Adhikari Sacha (Samyama Meditation), Guru-ji Hasu Patel (Chanting and mantra), Taber Shadburne (Out-loud Tantric Meditation, Communication), Dr. Steffany Moonaz (Yoga for Arthritis), Sanskrit (Pierre Couvillion) and Dr. Lalita Noronha-Blob (Anatomy and Physiology). Other workshops will be taught by the BYV Staff. Partner Yoga (Jean-Jacques Gabriel), Therapeutic Yoga and Exploratory anatomy workshops (Melissa Hullman and Vivian Campagna)
After The Course:
The Yoga Village Mentorship program offers additional practical classroom experience to those interested in successfully cultivating the gift of teaching yoga. A combination of observation, co-teaching, and independent teaching further prepares you to teach with clarity and confidence. The Mentorship Program costs an additional $350 and must be completed a by 6 months after completing the YTT Program.
