Authentic yoga in Baltimore City, this Baltimore Yoga Village location borders the Hamdpen and Remington neighborhood and a short walk from John's Hopkins Homewood campus. Convenient for bikers and runners along the Jones Falls, this old Mill Centre building was once the loading dock for a mill making sails for sailing ships. Now a variety of teachers from a variety of yoga lineages, who are each passionate about making yoga a deeply personal experience, have warmed up the building and turned it into a sacred space, a city sanctuary for people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and life conditions. From beginner yoga and therapeutic yoga to more challenging styles of ashtanga yoga, anusara yoga, vinyasa yoga and tradititional hatha yoga, you will be sure to find a drop- in yoga class each day to meet your needs in the sacred atmosphere of the studio. Singing and chanting are offered 1st, 2nd, and 4th Sundays of the month by donation. Learn about these special programs here. For directions to the Hampden location, click here. We highly recommend purchasing a bundle of classes to save time signing in and to discount the classes. Classes can be purchased online or at the door. Recommendations:

  • Come to class at least 10 -15 minutes early to sign in and to relax before beginning class
  • Wear comfortable clothing and, if possible, help us to reduce waste by brining your own water bottle or cup.
  •  Filtered water, mats, and parking are all offered at no charge. However, you are welcome to bring your own mat as sharing mats means sharing germs.
  • Come on an empty or mostly empty stomach. It is not recommended to eat before class.
  • Come with an open mind and heart. Every class is different and takes time and practice to learn. With a little practice, even challenging yoga postures become a meditative and relaxing experience.
  • Talk to the teacher about any concerns or questions.
  • Listen first and foremost to your body. Only you know what is right for you. Remember that yoga is not solely a physical exercise and it is not necessary to push yourself in a competitive fashion. Relax, be patient, and do what you can and what feels right each day, each moment.
